Through this curriculum young people learn the value of volunteering and giving back to the community. It is our duty to serve society and in order to accomplish that we must educate people about their rights and help them with their jobs.
Every year, the Pune District Education Association Law College organises the Tree Plantation Programme at several surrounding locations of Kanifnath Gad with the main objective of fostering environmental sustainability and civic involvement. The college's Tree Plantation Programme aims to make the campus and surrounding community greener and more ecologically conscious. Our objectives included planting a diverse range of native tree species, raising awareness about environmental conservation, and fostering a sense of responsibility among our students and staff. The College Tree Plantation Program contributes significantly to our environment. These trees will enhance local biodiversity and mitigate the effects of climate change. The program fostered community engagement and environmental awareness. A vital aspect of the program is educating participants about the importance of trees and the environment.
Since 2002, Pune District Education Association's Law College has operated the Free Legal Aid Centre. Since the college is a legal organization, its members felt it was both their personal and institutional duty to inform the public about their human rights as well as their fundamental rights and obligations. The Pune District Education Association's Law College Law adheres to the best practises, including legal assistance and legal literacy programmes, as part of its clinical legal education. Legal assistance and literacy camps teach students about civic responsibility.
Fee-legal assistance is not a legal issue; it is an issue of the social and legal rights of every person who satisfies the requirements set forth by law to get these services without charge. These are the rights that are guaranteed by the Indian Constitution as well as by other laws, such as the Legal Services Authorities Act and other enactments. However, the strategy is that no one is aware of these laws, and the needy and underprivileged individuals who are qualified to receive these services are largely uneducated and underprivileged. A two-time supper is all that the poor need to survive, and they struggle every day to get that, therefore they are unable to access these services. It is absolutely our duty to do so, but the government is equally accountable for educating the public about their rights.
Every year, the Pune District Education Association 's Law College has been organising poster competitions on different themes to spread legal awareness among the public by making several posters.
